About The Position

The Electronic Assembler Lead works closely with the Supervisor to ensure production requirements and goals are met. The Lead is also responsible for ensuring all team members are kept informed of requirements, the team members are adequately trained to accomplish the necessary tasks and adjusts staff assignments accordingly to overcome any deficiencies.

Requirements

  • Ability to identify the root cause of problems and recommend or initiate corrective action(s)
  • Demonstrated a strong aptitude for accepting responsibility through previous work or experience
  • High School Diploma, general education degree (GED), one-year certificate from college or technical; or one to four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience with ISO-9001:2000
  • Experience with IPC J-STD-001
  • Experience with ESD control
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to allow for effective oral and written communication with peers, subordinates and management.
  • Able to read, write and communicate in the English language.
  • Must meet U.S. export control compliance requirements. To meet U.S. export control compliance requirements, a “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.62 is required. “U.S. Person” includes U.S. Citizen, U.S. National, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.
  • Knowledge of MRP, PDM and Microsoft Office: Excel, Outlook, Word.
  • Able to lift 25 pounds on an occasional basis
  • Able to perform various assembly operations requiring manual dexterity and repetitive motions.
  • Required to stand, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, and regularly requires walking, sitting, talking, and using hands to finger, handle or feel.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job are close, distance, color and peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus is required to produce and inspect product or components for quality and cleanliness.

Responsibilities

  • Reads and follows work orders, drawings, sample assemblies, and/or verbal instructions regarding duties to be performed
  • Train, monitor and coordinate the activities of employees, identifying the best employees for assigned projects
  • Acts as a liaison between production team members and supervisor to ensure daily/monthly production requirements and goals are met
  • Provides guidance and support for employees. Resolves minor issues or reports to Supervisor as necessary
  • Ensures all operations are completed according to written manufacturing procedures, drawings and established workmanship standards
  • Recommends measures to motivate employees and to improve production methods, equipment performance, product quality and efficiency
  • Audits area of responsibility for compliance with company policies and departmental procedures; Resolves deficiencies or infractions and report as necessary
  • Reports equipment deficiencies or needs to supervisor
  • Confers with supervisors, managers and/or engineers to plan and review work activities, and to resolve production problems
  • Completes assignments with limited instructions; only unusual cases are referred to supervisor
  • Must be able to perform all the duties of an Electronic Assembler, all levels.
  • Other duties as assigned.
