About The Position

Indotronix is seeking an Electronic Assembler II for an onsite contract position in Austin, TX. This role involves assembling parts for electromechanical equipment, performing hand soldering, connector installation, and epoxy application to IPC Class 3 standards. The assembler will utilize fixturing for accurate builds, assemble/disassemble/modify production subassemblies, and inspect parts for flaws. They will work with various equipment including solder reflow ovens, pick-and-place machines, and automated measurement systems, while reading and interpreting technical documents. The position requires maintaining production accuracy and quality in a Clean Room environment, supporting inspection processes, and using basic computer software for data collection. Effective communication and adaptability are also key.

Requirements

Two (2) years of High School or Trade School education.
Hand soldering, connector installation, and epoxy application experience to IPC Class 3 standards.
Ability to read and interpret schematics, blueprints, process plans, and drawings.
Production accuracy and quality-driven mindset.
Experience working in a Clean Room environment.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Effective written and verbal communication skills.
Basic computer skills.

Nice To Haves

Selective Solder and High Volume Wave Soldering experience.
Experience with AOI and AXI (X-Ray) inspection.
IPC-A-610 and J-STD-001 experience.
IPC-A-610 and J-STD certifications.
Experience using solder reflow ovens, semi-auto P&P machines, and automated measurement systems.
Selective Solder experience.
Willingness to learn new technologies and adapt to changing environments.

Responsibilities

Assemble parts for electromechanical equipment.
Perform hand soldering, connector installation, and epoxy application to IPC Class 3 standards.
Utilize fixturing to accurately build assemblies.
Assemble, disassemble, and modify various production subassemblies by following work plans.
Inspect parts and materials for flaws and imperfections prior to use.
Manually solder or epoxy electrical components.
Use solder reflow ovens, semi-automatic pick-and-place (P&P) machines, and automated measurement systems.
Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, process plans, and drawings.
Inspect completed assemblies to ensure conformance to quality standards.
Work in a Clean Room environment.
Maintain production accuracy and quality.
Support AOI and AXI (X-Ray) inspection processes.
Use basic computer software for MRP and data collection.
Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors.
Adapt to new technologies and changing production environments.
