Requirements

  • BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
  • Electroencephalographic Technician credentialed from the ABRET Neurodiagnostic Credentialing & Accreditation (ABRET) obtained within 24 Months (2 years) of hire date or job transfer date.
  • Technologist specializing in Neurophysiologic Intraop Monit credentialed from the ABRET Neurodiagnostic Credentialing & Accreditation (ABRET) obtained within 24 Months (2 years) of hire date or job transfer date.
  • Technologist specializing in Evoked Potential credentialed from the ABRET Neurodiagnostic Credentialing & Accreditation (ABRET) obtained within 24 Months (2 years) of hire date or job transfer date.
  • Tech specializing in Nerve Conduction Study obtained within 24 Months (2 years) of hire date or job transfer date.
  • High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.

Nice To Haves

  • Certificate from an accredited Neurodiagnostic program
  • At least one year of experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Attach, connect, and operate electrodes from specified body areas to leads from the electroencephalograph machine.
  • Review the patient's record and instruct patients before procedures. Monitor the patient during procedures and report any abnormal findings.
  • Identify and correct for artifacts. Edit and forward results to the attending physician for analysis and interpretation.
  • Maintain EEG equipment and supplies.
