This role involves performing advanced neurophysiology testing procedures, including EEG, EP, NCS, and EMG, using age and developmentally appropriate guidelines. The technologist must effectively handle multiple tasks and maintain professionalism during stressful situations. Responsibilities include managing clinic schedules, preparing patient charts, interpreting reports, organizing data for physician review, and entering required information for reporting. The role also involves educating patients and families about procedures, ensuring the availability and integrity of equipment and supplies, and performing routine testing under supervision. Complex tests like EEG, EMG, and NCS will be conducted and analyzed as trained. The technologist will observe, measure, and record electrical activity and brain wave patterns using an encephalograph, monitor patient comfort, and troubleshoot equipment. Effective communication with team members and neurologists is essential. Other duties as assigned.
