About The Position

The Electromechanical Technician is responsible for installing, troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining production and facility equipment to ensure optimal performance. This role requires a hands-on approach to quickly respond to breakdowns, diagnose issues, and perform preventative maintenance on machinery critical to food processing operations.

Requirements

• Capable of troubleshooting and repairing automated systems, including pneumatics, electrical, hydraulics, motors, conveyors, and PLC-controlled machinery.
• Working with 24VDC, 120VAC, 480VAC systems.
• Proficient in reading and interpreting electrical and PLC schematics.
• Recognizes and resolves issues promptly and efficiently.
• Certified in forklift operation and other warehouse lift equipment.
• Effective at collaborating in a team environment.
• Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Nice To Haves

• Associate degree or Trade Certification a plus
• Preference for powder packaging experience

Responsibilities

• Conduct routine maintenance and repairs on production equipment, including mechanical, electrical, and PLC-controlled systems.
• Diagnose and resolve malfunctions in electrical and mechanical systems, PLCs, and control systems to minimize production downtime.
• Install, set up, and test new equipment, ensuring it meets safety and operational standards.
• Perform preventative maintenance according to schedule to extend equipment life and improve reliability.
• Adhere to safety standards, including OSHA, NFPA, and GMP, to maintain a safe working environment.
• Maintain detailed maintenance records, including repairs, adjustments, and parts inventory.
• Participate in process improvement initiatives to enhance equipment efficiency, safety, and production up time.
• Work closely with the production and engineering teams to support equipment needs, minimize disruptions, and achieve production targets.
