About The Position

The Electromechanical Manufacturing Operator assembles, inspects, tests, and documents complex electromechanical products (gearboxes, motors, brakes, feedback systems, and integrated drive solutions). You’ll read mechanical drawings and work instructions, use presses and precision measuring tools, and safely handle heavier components and lubricants to meet safety, quality, and production standards. You’re a hands-on builder who takes pride in doing things the right way—safely, accurately, and consistently. You enjoy working with mechanical assemblies, following drawings and work instructions, and using tools and measurements to make sure every unit meets quality standards.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 0-2 years of experience in mechanical or electromechanical assembly
  • Ability to read basic work instructions and drawings
  • Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn electromechanical assembly
  • Ability to lift up to 50lbs repeatedly; stand for extended periods of time; work in oil/industrial environment

Responsibilities

  • Perform basic electromechanical assembly following standard work, drawings, and work instructions.
  • Assemble motors, gearboxes, brakes, feedback devices, and sub-assemblies with guidance.
  • Operate manual and pneumatic presses using defined jigs and fixtures.
  • Use a wide range of hand tools (e.g., torque wrenches, ratchets, sockets, hex keys, screwdrivers) to assemble and secure mechanical components, applying fasteners to specified torque values using calibrated torque tools.
  • Select, stack, and verify shims to achieve specified clearances or preload.
  • Use basic measuring tools (calipers, gauges) to verify dimensions.
  • Wire basic electrical components (connectors, brakes, sensors) as instructed.
  • Fill gearboxes with oil/grease per specifications and safely handle lubricants.
  • Perform visual inspections and basic functional checks.
  • Safely lift, move, and position heavy components using proper techniques and assistive devices.
  • Support warehouse, material movement, packing, and logistics activities as needed.
  • Maintain 5S, cleanliness, and compliance with safety and PPE requirements.
