About The Position

Electromechanical Maintenance Specialist — Milwaukee, WI Are you the person people call when a sensor trips or a machine grinds to a halt? Aegis is recruiting on behalf of a Milwaukee, WI manufacturer for a maintenance expert who can keep complex equipment online. What you’ll do Repair and service production machinery spanning mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical domains. Troubleshoot electromechanical assemblies—especially switches and sensors—to restore uptime. Interpret and apply wiring diagrams to diagnose breakdowns. Read blueprints and follow detailed work instructions; act promptly on internal managerial communications. Own preventive maintenance planning and execution in a CMMS. Track work, parts, and results with Microsoft Excel/Word and concise email documentation. What you bring High school diploma or GED. 2+ years of experience in a maintenance position. Manufacturing exposure; heavier or similar industry experience is ideal. Hands-on equipment repair background. Experience working with electromechanical systems (switches, sensors). Ability to read and use wiring diagrams during equipment issues. Comfort with mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electric systems. Capability to read and comprehend blueprints, complex instructions, and internal communications. Preventive maintenance and maintenance planning experience using a CMMS. Functional knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word (or equivalent). Strong email skills to document issues and resolutions. Bonus points Associate degree in Industrial Maintenance. PLC/automation experience or exposure. Coursework toward Journeyman maintenance mechanic technology.
