About The Position

This role involves repairing and restoring intricate electronic and/or mechanical equipment at the component level. The technician will support intermediate product development with hands-on insights from testing and service, communicate directly with customers to understand faults and present solutions, and fabricate complex jigs, fixtures, and tooling to aid diagnostics. The position also includes performing warranty tear-downs, identifying root causes, and proposing corrective actions, as well as thoroughly documenting work through service reports and paperwork. A key aspect of the role is advancing the ATS Culture Initiative by driving continuous improvement, using quantitative process monitoring, completing quality core courses, applying ATS Core Values, and following all safety procedures.

Requirements

  • A.A. or equivalent from a two-year college/technical school; and 5-8 years of relevant experience/training; or 10 years of equivalent education/experience.
  • Ability to read/interpret safety rules, operating/maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to write clear routine reports and correspondence.
  • Ability to speak effectively to customer or employee groups.
  • Math/technical aptitude: proportions, percentages, area, circumference, volume; familiarity with algebra, physics, and geometry.
  • Ability to follow written, oral, or diagrammed instructions and solve problems with multiple concrete variables in standardized settings.
  • Solid grounding in electronics and/or mechanics with intermediate to complex troubleshooting prowess built through repair work.
  • Good driving record
