About The Position
Velan is a world leader in the design and manufacture of industrial valves. Founded in Montreal, the company is recognized for the quality of its products, its technical expertise and its human and collaborative corporate culture. We are currently looking for an Electromechanic, who will report to the Maintenance Supervisor and will contribute to supporting our operations, by ensuring the installation, diagnosis, repair and optimization of our production equipment.
Requirements
- Diploma of Vocational Studies (DVS) in electromechanics and a C|A-2 degree or equivalent with experience in other recognized maintenance technical training
- Hold 7 years as an industrial electromechanic in a context mainly of manufacturing equipment by machining on numerical control and conventional machines or the equivalent
- Very good ability to read and understand drawings and specifications of machine tools.
- Knowledge of automation and control
- Very good experience with electrical, mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems
- Have a C license in electricity (an asset)
- Experience with CNC machines (an asset)
- May be called upon to perform any other tasks related to his/her function
- Training Required: Rigging and Lifting
- A practical and/or theoretical test may be required from candidates
