The OTC enables new frontiers in visible-light and infrared systems, missile defense, space exploration and much more. As an Electro-Optical Engineer, Staff you will focus on Electrical Compatibility Analysis, Requirement Verification, Flex Cable design and act as a box test lead for SMD NGI.

Requirements

  • Experience with flex cable design and test
  • Experience with box qual testing and/or Worst Case Analysis(WCA)
  • Experience with Circuit Card Assembly (CCA) Worst Case Analysis, including stress and stability analysis to ensure design reliability under extreme environmental and operating conditions.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in schematic design tools (e.g., Altium Designer, Xpedition, Cadence and/or CAD, Zuken and/or PSpice) to create and document functional electrical circuits
  • Familiarity with Block Diagrams: Develop and review system-level block diagrams, interface diagrams, and interconnect documentation
  • Must have an Active Final Top Secret Clearance to be considered for this position; US Citizenship is required

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in a lab setting
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Hands-on experience using electrical test equipment (multimeters, oscilloscopes, power supplies, etc.)
  • Experience with troubleshooting test racks
  • Experience in wire harness/cable design.
  • Excitement about space missions

Responsibilities

  • Be heavily involved in end to end integration of a system
  • Examine schematics
  • Review the interconnect description documentation
  • Oversee space qual testing and special test equipment
  • Support program lifecycle for optical payload component builds
