Job Summary: The Electro-Mechanical Integration Technician is a hands-on technical role responsible for assembling, wiring, tearing down, and installing large custom automation and capital equipment systems. This position works directly from mechanical and electrical drawings to build engineered systems at MVP’s facility, then supports disassembly, shipment, and on-site installation at customer locations.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of electro-mechanical or automation build experience
  • Ability to read and follow mechanical drawings and electrical schematics
  • Hands-on experience with machine wiring and system assembly
  • Comfortable working in both shop and customer environments
  • Willingness to travel for installations (25-40%)

Responsibilities

  • Assemble large, custom automation systems from mechanical drawings and BOMs
  • Perform electro-mechanical assembly including frames, guarding, motion systems, and material-handling components
  • Wire control panels and field devices per electrical schematics
  • Perform point-to-point wiring, cable routing, labeling, and termination
  • Install and connect sensors, motors, drives, valves, actuators, and safety devices
  • Route and install pneumatic and hydraulic tubing and hoses
  • Support mechanical and electrical checkout activities
  • Identify drawing discrepancies, missing components, or integration issues and communicate with engineering
  • Participate in factory testing, dry runs, and system verification prior to shipment
  • Disassemble systems in a controlled, documented manner for shipment
  • Reassemble and install systems at customer sites following drawings and installation plans
  • Verify wiring, alignment, and assembly during on-site installation
  • Support startup, commissioning, and site acceptance testing alongside engineering
  • Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and system-level issues during build and installation
