Job Title: Electro-Mechanical Technician Location: Richmond, VA , Plant 2 What we are looking for: We are looking for an Electro-Mechanical Technician who will be responsible for routine maintenance support to the operations departments in a highly automated environment. This multi-craft position (electrical, mechanical, and electronic) will be responsible for troubleshooting mechanical, electronic, and electrical industrial equipment for a designated department within the plant. The ideal candidate must have a continuous improvement mindset while achieving the overall objectives with preventative maintenance and quick repair for trouble calls from Production Leaders.

Requirements

Enrolled in Trade/Technical School certification
3+ years Mechanical troubleshooting and repair
3+ years plus Electrical troubleshooting and repair
Must have ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks efficiently.
Must have good teamwork and communication skills and ability to work with minimal supervision.
Good verbal and written communication skills.
Must be able to work with machine operators, mechanics, contractors and/or vendors.
Must have a positive attitude.

Nice To Haves

Trade/Technical School certification
5+ years Mechanical troubleshooting and repair
5+ years plus Electrical troubleshooting and repair
Experience in robotics
Controls Troubleshooting experience
Networking Troubleshooting experience

Responsibilities

Assists other Technicians in the repair and maintenance of equipment.
Diagnoses mechanical and electrical problems using technical drawings (e.g., blueprints, electronic/mechanical schematics) and diagnostic tools (e.g., multi-meter, laptop)
Install, maintain, test, troubleshoot & repair electrical, electronic systems, control and components of industrial machines, tools, and production/utility equipment.
Diagnose, repair, and replace faulty mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic components of machines and equipment. Including but not limited to seals, gaskets and bearings on motors, pumps, gearboxes, conveyors, etc.
Troubleshoot and repair complex electrical/electronic problems with equipment, networks, PC logic control Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) and external Input/Output (I/O) devices where the repair is not immediately visible or obvious.
