Requirements

  • Completion of high school or equivalent technical training.
  • 3-5 years industrial technical experience, electrical and mechanical testing, hands-on R&D experience.
  • Experience conducting technical experiments when provided with test plans.
  • Comfortable setting up electrical tests and mechanical tests.
  • Demonstrated ability to collect and organize test data.
  • Ability to perform basic analysis on data.
  • Demonstrated experience presenting observations and results.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite of applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Ability to balance multiple tasks and prioritize per team requirements.
  • Ability to troubleshoot.

Nice To Haves

  • Proven understanding of soldering/electronics/electrical is desired.

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical support to New Product Development projects.
  • Assist engineers with resolution of technical issues.
  • Build prototypes.
  • Perform electrical & mechanical tests according to provided test plans.
  • Provide feedback to engineers and development team.
  • Maintain laboratory space to environmental and safety standards.
  • Support/maintain the control, calibration and inspection of test and measurement equipment.
  • Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical testing equipment.
  • Assist with obtaining agency certification testing.
