About The Position
ELECTRICIAN / MECHANICAL TECHNICIANGannett Publishing Services / USA TODAY COKnoxville, TN Up to $30.00 an hour based on experience Sign on bonus of $500 based on background and work experience Responsibilities: ·Troubleshoot and repair automated equipment breakdowns ·Use of analog, digital test equipment, and electrical tools ·Experience with networked I/O PLC networks and industrial networking. ·Servicing, troubleshooting, and repair of DC drives and Servo drives ·PLC troubleshooting, repair, and replacement ·Perform preventative maintenance ·Knowledge of NEC and OSHA regulations ·Other responsibilities as assigned by supervisor Experience with the following helpful: · Ability to perform minor power projects which include conduit and wiring installation · Ability to understand complex electrical and pneumatic control diagrams · Knowledge or ability to use machine shop equipment · HVAC experience · Familiarity with newspaper printing presses and mailroom processing equipment On-the-job training where needed Requirements: · 3 years of Industrial electrical / maintenance · Experience working with voltages of 600 volts or less and associated equipment · Strong communication skills · Motivated · Microsoft office applications or similar · Physical requirements include but are not limited to climbing and working from ladders and steps, working in some confined spaces, periodic moderate to heavy lifting as related to various jobs · Work schedule is nights, weekends, and holidays · The team will assist with training
Requirements
- 3 years of Industrial electrical / maintenance
- Experience working with voltages of 600 volts or less and associated equipment
- Strong communication skills
- Motivated
- Microsoft office applications or similar
