About The Position

Provide various support to the overall facility maintenance including support for the production lines, installation, fabrication, troubleshooting, repair, moving & maintenance of a wide variety of production & related equipment, facilities equipment, buildings and systems. This role involves the application of multiple craft skills such as mechanical, electrical, welding, pipe fitting & machining to maintain complex systems. The technician will troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic equipment, install new machinery, and perform preventative maintenance. The position requires standing for extended periods, stooping, kneeling, crouching, bending, lifting, and moving objects up to 50 pounds.

Requirements

  • Strong demonstrable knowledge of electronics, electrical, HVAC, hydraulics, machining, and mechanical theory.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Excellent computer skills.
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize work requirements.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Must be able to stand for extended periods of time without sitting.
  • Must be able to stoop, kneel, crouch, bend, lift or crawl.
  • Must be able to regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
  • Must provide hand tools and tool box.
  • Must have valid Forklift Operator's license or pass required training.
  • Minimum of High School Diploma or GED.
  • 3-5 years' experience in general production maintenance including craft skills (i.e., mechanical, electrical, welding, fabrication, and machining) to install, fabricate, troubleshoot, repair, move, and maintain a wide variety of production and related equipment, facilities equipment, buildings, and systems at journeyman level.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience supporting an industrial fluid application facility preferable.
  • Certification in electronics, electrical, HVAC, machining, and/or mechanical theory.

Responsibilities

  • Install, fabricate, troubleshoot, repair, move & maintain a wide variety of production & related equipment, facilities equipment, buildings and systems.
  • Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain a wide variety of complex mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic equipment and systems such as motors, pumps, piping systems, conveyor systems, furnaces, exhaust systems, chillers, boilers, extruders, chemical tanks, production machinery and instrumentation equipment.
  • Install new machinery and equipment and move machinery and equipment to affect layout changes as required.
  • Perform preventative maintenance activities of all types, including those requiring extensive dismantling, re-assembly, critical adjustment, lubrication, and/or calibration.
