The Electro-Mechanical Technician Level 4 is responsible for the day-to-day troubleshooting and preventative/predictive maintenance on conveyance equipment. Acts as a senior material handling technician on all equipment installed at the Northlake, TX site location. Aids and mentors lower-level employees. Overtime and occasional weekend work may be required. This position is for 3rd shift, Friday- Sunday, 6am - 6 pm.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent experience required.
  • Demonstrates a senior-level knowledge possessing 5-7 years of experience in a technical or specialty area.
  • Proven experience in area of responsibility with a successful track record of performing the key tasks listed above.
  • Strong customer-facing skills, maintaining professional communication through email and in-person interactions with onsite customer leadership, Dematic leadership, and technicians.
  • Ability to lead projects, manage teams, and direct day-to-day operations and tasks for the onsite maintenance team.
  • Physical ability to lift and move materials up to 50 pounds each.
  • Regular bending, lifting, stretching, and reaching both below the waist and above the head.
  • Occasionally push and pull wheeled dollies loaded with products up to 100 pounds.
  • Capability to climb ladders and gangways safely and without limitations.
  • Must be comfortable working in different conditions such as tight spaces, dust, fumes/odors, hot/cold temperatures, loud noises, and wet or uneven surfaces.

Nice To Haves

  • An Associate’s degree or vocational technical training is preferred, and specialized skill training/certification is highly advantageous.

Responsibilities

  • Repair and maintain Material Handling Equipment (MHE), including tasks such as belt tracking, component adjustment/replacement, and component lubrication.
  • Complete preventative maintenance routines, documentation, and procedures to ensure efficient equipment performance.
  • Use electrical test equipment to troubleshoot and repair electrical circuitry.
  • Construct and complete work orders within the asset management system, recording in-depth data on labor hours, equipment maintenance, and parts employed.
  • Troubleshoot conveyance issues and figure out the resources needed to resolve them successfully.
  • Locate and track spare parts inventory to ensure minimal downtime.
  • Perform complex maintenance and equipment testing to ensure all systems meet strict specifications.
  • Assist with training customers to confidently operate equipment.
  • Respond promptly to service calls and address equipment failures and faults accurately.
  • Identify problems as they occur and take appropriate steps to resolve them efficiently.
