Electro-Mechanical Technician (Full Time) Newton Scientific (NSI) is looking for a team player to fill the position of Electro-Mechanical Technician. The Electro-Mechanical Technician. will perform a variety of electro-mechanical assembly, fabrication, and testing tasks. NSI offers a small company culture with big company benefits. The Position: We’re looking for a Full-Time Electro-Mechanical Assembly Technician. This is a hourly, non-exempt position. · NSI offers competitive pay determined by qualifications and experience. There are also opportunities annually for raises and bonuses. These are based on performance and longevity. · We offer stable work hours, Monday through Friday, with the opportunity to flex your start and end time around your commute if needed (as approved by your supervisor). We sometimes offer optional overtime on evenings or weekends, as required by work schedules. · Bright, open space for you to work in with a lot of large windows. We also provide ergonomic chairs and standing mats for employee comfort on the job. Work apparel is casual. · Effective on your start date, you will accrue up to four (4) weeks of Total Time Off (TTO – vacation, personal, sick time) in your first year! The longer you stay with the company, the more paid time off you will accrue per pay period. You will also be eligible for 11 paid holidays annually. · Benefits that actually benefit you. Requirements

• Associates’ or Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering Technology or related field.
• Must be able to lift at least to 20 lbs.
• 3 or more years of electro-mechanical assembly and/or test experience.
• Related experience in fields other than electronics will also be considered.

Nice To Haves

• Experience using electronic test equipment such as oscilloscopes, meters, function generators, etc.
• Experience with soldering. Ideally, SMT and through-hole soldering.
• Experience with use of adhesives, epoxy, RTV to encapsulate electronic assemblies.

Responsibilities

• Utilize excellent electro-mechanical assembly skills to build, assemble, test, and verify electrical and/or mechanical units.
• Experience with precision assembly, inspection.
• Troubleshoot electronic assemblies.
• Communicate well with team leads/ managers regarding questions, meeting production schedules, known inventory concerns, etc.
• Able to follow detailed written and verbal instructions, designs, and schematics to produce items to specifications.
• Maintain accuracy while also working to meet production schedules.
• Must be detail oriented.
• Maintain individual work area /equipment in a neat orderly manner according to standards including proper disposal of packaging waste, proper storage and use of equipment and parts, and management of documentation needed to perform duties.
• Must be able to meet minimum qualifications to apply.
