About The Position

While reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, the Electro Mechanic I is responsible for maintaining plant equipment reliability through preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, repairs, and continuous improvement efforts that minimize downtime and support safe plant operations.

Requirements

  • 3 to 5 years of experience in an industrial maintenance environment
  • Strong knowledge of PLCs, VFDs, and electrical/electronic systems
  • Read and understand electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic schematics
  • Troubleshoot and repair equipment independently
  • Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office and CMMS systems
  • Strong general math skills
  • Proficient with diagnostic tools such as multimeters, circuit locators, and thermal imaging equipment
  • Strong verbal, written, and phone communication skills
  • Strong organization and time management skills
  • Committed to technical growth through continued training and education

Responsibilities

  • Perform maintenance tasks required to maintain equipment reliability and minimize downtime
  • Troubleshoot equipment, systems, and processes and make repairs as needed
  • Work safely and follow all plant safety rules and procedures
  • Pass electrical skills and safety testing to become a qualified Category 2 worker
  • Follow all electrical safety work practices
  • Work on electrical systems up to 480 volts
  • Troubleshoot and maintain PLCs, AC/DC motor controls, VFDs, and other electrical/electronic devices
  • Run conduit and cable management systems
  • Perform mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and building repairs
  • Work at heights up to 60 feet
  • Respond to emergency call-ins when required
  • Accurately report spare parts usage
  • Maintain housekeeping and organization in maintenance areas
  • Identify opportunities for equipment and process improvement
