As an Electrician on JLL’s building operations team, you will maintain, repair, and support critical electrical systems within a commercial technology facility in Franklin, Massachusetts. Working alongside an experienced engineering team, you will help ensure safe, reliable, and efficient building operations while supporting tenant needs and overall facility performance. This is a fully on-site role supporting a single-building operation.

Requirements

  • Valid Massachusetts Journeyman or Master Electrician license.
  • Commercial or industrial electrical experience (residential-only experience not acceptable).
  • Completed electrical apprenticeship program or trade school education.
  • Strong knowledge of National Electrical Code (NEC), Massachusetts electrical codes, and OSHA standards.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics, and one-line diagrams.
  • Ability to work on-site and respond to on-call requirements.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in commercial, institutional, or technology-driven facilities.
  • Familiarity with emergency power systems, UPS, generators, and building automation systems.
  • Working knowledge of HVAC or mechanical systems in a facilities environment.
  • Experience using CMMS platforms and basic Microsoft Office tools.
  • Strong customer service and communication skills.
  • Ability to safely work at heights, in confined spaces, and in active electrical rooms.

Responsibilities

  • Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair commercial electrical systems including power distribution, lighting, emergency power, and building controls.
  • Monitor and service electrical panels, switchgear, transformers, circuit breakers, UPS systems, and generators.
  • Respond to electrical service requests and complete work orders using a CMMS system.
  • Perform preventative maintenance and electrical testing (voltage, amperage, continuity, resistance).
  • Support building operations with minor general maintenance tasks as needed.
  • Coordinate with vendors and oversee contractor work related to electrical systems.
  • Respond to electrical emergencies and communicate effectively with site leadership and occupants.
