About The Position

Responsible for effectively maintaining all electrical equipment. This role involves responding to work orders, assisting other engineers and mechanics, and performing routine inspections of electrical equipment to identify and repair potential problems or safety hazards. The electrician will also take readings on electrical equipment, wire electrical equipment for events, maintain an adequate supply of materials, coordinate and install new electrical equipment and wiring, maintain necessary logs, and ensure adherence to OSHA safety requirements and company safety policies. Additionally, the role promotes an atmosphere of fun for casino guests and encourages mutual respect, dignity, and integrity among employees.

Requirements

High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred.
Must have five years related experience.
Occupationally significant combination of vocational education, apprentice training, in-plant training and on-the-job training preferred.
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret documents, such as policy and procedure manuals, maintenance instructions, and other related documents.
Ability to respond to common inquiries from other employees or guests.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Ability to apply common sense reasoning to variety of situations.
Regularly required to talk or hear.
Regularly required to stand, walk, sit and use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools or controls.
Occasionally required to reach with hands and arms, and to sit, climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.
Regularly required to climb a twelve (12) foot ladder.
Regularly required to lift and/or move up to seventy-five (75) pounds.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
Applicant must successfully pass a color blindness test to distinguish color.
This position requires a Level 4 Gaming License.

Responsibilities

Maintains all electrical equipment throughout the property.
Responds to work orders on a daily basis.
Assists other engineers and mechanics with repairs; handles day-to-day electrical operations.
Routinely inspects all electrical equipment, identifying potential problems and/or safety hazards, and repairing same, as needed.
Takes readings on all electrical equipment.
Wires electrical equipment for convention exhibits and special events.
Maintains an adequate supply of materials needed for the efficient performance of job.
Coordinates and installs all new electrical equipment and/or wiring.
Maintains all logs necessary for conformance with established standards.
Ensures adherence to all OSHA safety requirements and safety policies.
