About The Position

Nazareth Hospital, a member of Trinity Health, Mid-Atlantic, is looking for an Electrician to join our Maintenance team! This is a full-time position working 40 hours per week on the day shift. As an Electrician, you will perform preventative, corrective maintenance, and new installations of all electrical systems. You will also review construction and small projects documents to ensure proper interface with existing systems, and instruct, guide, and oversee other electricians to ensure proper techniques and safety rules are followed. The role involves working and troubleshooting high and low voltage equipment, following all electrical codes and guidelines as set forth in the current NEC, and performing or overseeing required testing of emergency generation equipment. You will also assist in managing the operability of the Uninterrupted Power Source (UPS) system, interface with governing regulators, and monitor vendor and contractor activities on campus. Department annual trainings are also required.

Requirements

  • Master License [Required]
  • HS diploma or equivalency [Required]
  • Must be able to understand and manipulate systems computers; capable of reading, understanding, and interpreting blueprints.

Nice To Haves

  • (5) five years of experience as a Master electrician with electronics, motor control and operation, control wiring, electronic circuitry, high and low voltage equipment, emergency power generation, UPS system, basic computer skills, and mathematics.
  • Good knowledge of codes and standards and equipment specifications

Responsibilities

  • Perform preventative, corrective maintenance, and new installations of all electrical systems.
  • Review construction and small projects documents both internal and external to the hospital to ensure proper interface with existing systems.
  • Instruct, guide and oversee electricians to ensure proper techniques and safety rules are followed to complete all work orders.
  • Working and troubleshooting high and low voltage equipment.
  • Follow all electrical codes and guidelines as set forth in the current NEC.
  • Perform or oversee required testing of all emergency generation equipment on and off-site facilities during off hours.
  • Assist in managing the operability of our Uninterrupted Power Source (UPS) system.
  • Interface with governing regulators to ensure all local, state and federal requirements are met when performing work on site or performing survey/audits.
  • Monitor/check on vendor and contractor activities while performing work on campus or off-site hospital properties.
  • Perform department annual trainings.
