Our Values Respect | Belonging | Accountability | Transparency Department Engineering Operations Job Summary Under general supervision, performs new electrical installations and repairs in the hospital and related facilities in accordance with management directives. Performs preventative maintenance according to applicable standards with accurate record keeping. Exercises initiative for emergent calls to include some fabrication. Ensure all repairs are made within set time limits.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • 1-3 years working in a commercial environment required
  • Journeyman Electrician License - DORA - Colorado Department of Regulatory Agencies required
  • DLR-Colorado Driver's License Class R - DMV - Department of Motor Vehicles required
  • Follow written and oral direction
  • Proficient at using volt, ohm , and amp meters
  • Proficient at reading and interpreting blue prints

Nice To Haves

  • 1-3 years healthcare experience preferred
  • Willingness to work nights and/or weekends during emergencies or critical stages of a project

Responsibilities

  • Performs new electrical installations and electrical repairs to current systems in the hospital and related facilities. All work to be done according to National Electrical Code (NEC).
  • Installs conduit, make up conductors so no faults result, make connections to over current protection devices so that no heat buildup occurs.
  • Performs preventative maintenance according to applicable standards with accurate record keeping.
  • Tests generators competently and perform switchgear ties in and emergent situations.
  • Exercises initiative for emergent calls to include fabrication.
  • Communicate with immediate supervisor about tools and materials needed to complete assigned work. Informs immediate supervisor of any job related concerns or impediments.
