About The Position

Heidelberg Materials is one of the world's largest suppliers of building materials. Heidelberg Materials North America operates over 450 locations across the U.S. and Canada with approximately 9,000 employees. This role involves troubleshooting, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems 480V and below supporting aggregate production equipment at Francesville and Monon, IN locations. The electrician will install and inspect wiring, controls, motors, and instrumentation to ensure safe, reliable operation. They will partner with operations and maintenance teams to minimize downtime and improve equipment performance, while always following safety standards, lockout/tagout procedures, and applicable electrical codes. Documenting work completed and contributing to continuous improvement efforts are also key aspects of this position.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated capability working with industrial electrical systems, controls, and motor drives.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve electrical issues efficiently.
  • Working knowledge of electrical codes, safety practices, and compliance requirements.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics, and manuals.
  • Collaborative mindset with clear communication and a commitment to safe work practices.
