About The Position

We are seeking Electricians to support the Veteran community in the Dallas, TX area. These positions are open to all candidates, including Locum or Traveling professionals. The role involves maintaining and repairing a wide range of electrical systems throughout the hospital, including motors, HVAC components, alarms, medical and laboratory equipment, lighting, and major utility infrastructure such as switchgear, transformers, and emergency power systems. Responsibilities include troubleshooting electrical issues using diagnostic instruments, installing and modifying circuits and conduits, performing preventive maintenance on motors and control equipment, and ensuring compliance with safety standards and the National Electrical Code. The Electrician works with minimal supervision, may oversee helpers, and must understand the hazards of working with voltages up to 4160 volts AC.

Requirements

Authorization to work in the U.S. permanently, without sponsorship
3+ years of Electrician experience and knowledge in the construction field
Active Texas state Electrician license
OSHA 30-hour construction certification
Ability to lift 50 lbs.
Work at heights and climb ladders.
Work in confined spaces.
Work in high temperatures.
Work in a noisy environment.
Work may involve potential hazardous exposures such as asbestos, machine parts, soot, dirt, grease, chemicals, oil, and fumes.
Ability to function safely while wearing a respirator - Work requiring an OSHA-approved respirator and proper fit tested.
Standing and bending for long periods of time.

Nice To Haves

NFPA 70E (electrical safety) certification
Previous experience with the VA is a plus
