About The Position

This role is scheduled on rotating shifts, including off shifts, weekends, and holidays as needed to safely support production operations. Under the supervision of the Site Maintenance Leader, the Electrician will apply strong knowledge of components and systems to maintain and repair electrical equipment such as conveyors, pumps, motors, blowers, fans, and compressors. The position demands extensive knowledge of electrical components, safety codes, and regulations. All duties must be performed in compliance with established company, department, and safety policies and procedures.

Requirements

  • Degree or Certification from an accredited program in electrical, instrumentation & controls maintenance.
  • Minimum 5 years' experience working in chemical processing and demonstrated use of electrical, instrumentation & control skills.
  • Experienced with basic troubleshooting and programming of Allen Bradley equipment.
  • Familiarity with industrial electrical systems and the National Electrical Code.
  • Ability to operate a forklift and other equipment integral to the job tasks/function.
  • Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time, climb, and regularly kneel, squat, bend, and stoop, twist and reach overhead with repetitive motions.
  • Ability to lift and/or carry up to 55 pounds without assistance.
  • Ability to work at heights above 50 feet, including on ladders and lifts.
  • Must be able to complete a Fit for Duty examination.
  • Must be able to complete a Respirator fit test.
  • Must be able to complete the requirements for the Hearing Conservation Program.

Nice To Haves

  • Delta-V experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Perform inspections, repairs, and installations on plant instrumentation and electrical systems, including wiring, control panels, switches, timers, fuse boxes, valves, and meters.
  • Work with electrical systems on pumps, blowers, motors, conveyors, filters, and baghouses.
  • Troubleshoot and support control systems.
  • Complete tasks such as staging materials, installing conduit, drilling, and supporting equipment.
  • Operate, maintain, and care for all tools and equipment used in daily assignments.
  • Assist in training new Electrical & Instrumentation Technicians.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, organized work area.
  • Support additional tasks and projects as requested by leadership.
