About The Position

Installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems and equipment in lab or field settings. Reading blueprints and technical diagrams, performing wiring and circuitry work, and troubleshooting electrical issues to ensure systems operate safely and efficiently. Testing components, performing preventive maintenance, and ensuring compliance with electrical codes and safety regulations. SRC is a contractor for the U.S. Government. This position will require U.S. citizenship as well as a U.S. Government security clearance at the Top Secret / SCI level with CI Poly eligibility. This role requires 20% travel to start in the first year, increasing to 40% in the second year and beyond.

Requirements

Strong technical and mechanical skills, attention to detail, and knowledge of electrical systems and tools
Read blueprints and technical diagrams
Perform hands-on wiring and circuitry work
Troubleshoot electrical issues to ensure systems operate safely and efficiently

Nice To Haves

Typically 2 to 5 years of hands-on experience in industrial maintenance or commercial electrical work
Experience with diesel generator operations
Certified Master Electrician
Knowledge of diesel generator operations

Responsibilities

Perform routine preventive and corrective maintenance on motors, pumps, valves, and automated machinery
Install, test, and repair wiring, circuit breakers, control panels, and power distribution units
Diagnose malfunctions in mechanical and electrical components using multimeters and diagnostic tools
Interpret technical manuals, electrical schematics, and mechanical blueprints to plan repairs
Follow National Electrical Code (NEC), OSHA rules, and lockout/tagout safety standards
