About The Position

Performs various skilled work installing, troubleshooting, maintaining, and repairing three-phase and other industrial electrical equipment and systems in a GMP/food manufacturing facility. Expertise in electrical code and electrical systems is required to perform work safely following NFPA70E and NFPA70B. Applicable knowledge/experience with Allen Bradley PLC programming, VFDs, solenoid valves, relays, RTDs, Ethernet/IP, and Daily Usage of Arc flash/Shock Hazard PPE are required.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
  • Four-year position related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Knowledge of WA Electrical Code
  • Ability to communicate professionally
  • Ability to read and comprehend complex instructions, statistical correspondence, and memos.
  • Ability to write simple to complex correspondence
  • Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of Tree Top.
  • Ability to communicate effectively.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent.
  • Ability to draw and interpret bar graphs

Responsibilities

  • Plans new or modified installations to minimize waste of materials, provide access for future maintenance, and avoid unsightly, hazardous, and unreliable wiring, consistent with specifications and local electrical codes.
  • Prepares sketches showing location of wiring and equipment, or follows diagrams or blueprints, ensuring that concealed wiring is installed before completion of future walls, ceilings, and flooring.
  • Measures, cuts, bends, threads, assembles, and installs electrical conduit.
  • Following the Electrical Safety Policy to troubleshoot and repair/maintain 24V, 120V, and 480V control panels and MCCs.
  • Responsible for the ongoing maintenance of all electrical equipment within the plant.
  • Required to take initiative as an individual to identify and solve problems, and work in a team approach with the maintenance, production, engineering and other groups.
  • Adjusts functional parts of devices and control instruments.
  • Determines cause of problems and decides on corrective action, both temporary and long term fixes.
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.
  • Maintains logs of all repair and maintenance activities.
  • Remove all tools and equipment when finished
