About The Position

Responsible for installation of electrical components on newly manufactured MASABA mining equipment located at manufacturing site; responsible for troubleshooting, identifying the root cause, repairing or replacing parts, rewiring, and installing related electrical components on MASABA mining equipment at off-site locations; will perform industrial wiring to include maintenance and service for MASABA mining equipment at off-site locations; ensure all work performed is done by following all local and national electrical codes.

Requirements

  • Previous educational training and/or certification in electronics and electrical theory.
  • Extensive working experience in electronics, electrical wiring, and electrical troubleshooting.
  • Possession of or working towards a valid electrician's license.
  • Demonstrated strong safety leadership skills and adherence to safe work practices.
  • Ability to work as part of a team to plan and conduct equipment repairs.
  • Ability to respond to unplanned/emergency work requests in a timely and effective manner.
  • High motivation and ability to work independently.
  • Ability to perform basic shop math functions and use standard measuring devices.
  • Willingness and ability to travel (must be able to obtain a passport).
  • Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to work standing on a hard surface (e.g., concrete) for up to 12 hours per day in hot or cold environments.
  • Good hand and eye coordination.
  • Good visual acuity.
  • Ability to climb, bend, kneel, crouch, and stoop to perform various functions of the position.
  • Ability to reach with hands and arms.
  • Ability to work overtime and weekends if requested.
  • Ability to read and understand English.
  • Excellent attendance history.
  • Manufacturing setting requires standing for long periods of time.
  • Requires arm, hand, and finger dexterity, including the ability to grasp.
  • Ability to manipulate (carry, lift, move) objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
