The Electrician role supports the maintenance team in a high-speed paper cup manufacturing facility, focusing on the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of electrical systems and equipment to ensure reliability, safety, and minimal downtime.

Requirements

  • Basic knowledge of electrical systems (120V–480V)
  • Basic knowledge of motors and motor controls
  • Basic knowledge of PLC basics (troubleshooting preferred)
  • Basic knowledge of sensors, switches, and instrumentation
  • 0–3 years of industrial or manufacturing electrical experience (internships acceptable)
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment is a plus (paper, packaging, printing, or FMCG)
  • Experience with packaging or paper converting equipment
  • Basic PLC troubleshooting (e.g., Allen-Bradley, Siemens)
  • Familiarity with VFDs and servo systems

Nice To Haves

  • Ability to read electrical schematics and diagrams

Responsibilities

  • Assist in installation of new machines, panels, and electrical systems.
  • Support wiring of control panels, junction boxes, and machine interfaces.
  • Help with equipment upgrades, retrofits, and continuous improvement projects.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Follow all Plant rules, Processes, Hygiene, and Allergens procedures, related to production of Safe Quality Foods.
  • Report to person of authority to record any potentially unsafe conditions which may result in unsafe foods or noncompliance to SQF related procedures.
  • Participate in SQF Root Cause and Corrective Actions (from customer complaints, SQF audits, validation, and verification activities) as required.
  • Follow all procedures related to producing Safe Quality Foods (SQF).
  • Report any potentially unsafe SQF conditions or customer complaints to a person of authority to record and/or correct the situation.
