About The Position

Primoris Services Corporation is seeking an Electrician to work on industrial construction sites and/or fabrication shops. The role involves practicing safety rules, following instructions, using hand and power tools safely, and reporting to a supervisor. The electrician will perform quality work according to project specifications, be accountable for tools and materials, and work effectively as part of a team. Key technical duties include performing terminations up to 1500V ac and dc, reading construction drawings, understanding specifications, having a basic understanding of electrical systems, installing underground cabling and conduits, and operating basic electrical test equipment. The role also involves working with, training, and mentoring helpers. Compliance with the company’s drug and alcohol abuse policy, passing physical examinations, and the ability to climb and maintain balance on ladders, scaffolding, and stairways are required. The position may involve stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, working at elevated heights, and in confined spaces. The ability to carry 50 lbs. of tools and/or materials is necessary, with recommendations for assistance for heavier items. Standing or walking for long periods, working extended hours on feet on uneven surfaces, and working while wearing a respirator and other personal protective equipment when required are also part of the job.

Requirements

  • One (1) to four (4) years of experience in specified skill (depending on mechanic level).
  • Post-offer drug/alcohol screen and physical evaluation.

  • Job site safety requirements as required by the client (clean shaven, long sleeves, steel toe boots, etc.).
  • Safety equipment as required by the client (hard hat, safety glasses, gloves, respirator, hearing protection, safety harness with lanyard, etc.).

  • Be able to pass physical examination, pre-employment if necessary, and as required by the company.
  • Able to climb and maintain balance on ladders, scaffolding, stairways, etc.
  • Stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, or work at elevated heights as well as in confined spaces (towers, vessels, excavations, etc.).
  • Able to carry 50 lbs. of tool and/or materials.
  • Must be able to stand or walk for long periods of time.
  • Must be able to work extended hours on your feet on uneven surfaces (dirt, concrete, asphalt, mud, gravel, etc.).
  • Must be clean shaven and able to work while wearing a respirator and other personal protective equipment, when required.
