Electrician - JLL What this job involves: The Electrician is responsible for performing skilled electrical maintenance, troubleshooting, repairs, and operational support across critical building systems. This hands‑on role ensures electrical infrastructure is safe, reliable, and maintained in alignment with JLL standards, client expectations, and site regulatory requirements. What your day-to-day will look like: Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on electrical systems up to 480V, including panels, breakers, MCCs, transformers, generators, UPS systems, and lighting. Install, repair, and maintain conduit, wiring, outlets, switches, motors, controls, and associated components. Troubleshoot electrical faults using diagnostic tools, meters, schematics, and technical drawings. Support electrical requirements for HVAC/R equipment, pumps, boilers, chilled water systems, and mechanical equipment. Maintain strict adherence to NFPA 70, NEC, and site-specific electrical safety procedures (including LOTO). Work from electrical drawings, schematics, prints, and verbal instructions. Support installation and startup of new equipment and system upgrades. Troubleshoot and maintain electrical components of BAS/BMS systems (power supplies, sensors, actuators). Complete CMMS documentation accurately (PMs, corrective work orders, inspections). Follow SOPs, GMP guidelines, and change‑control processes where required. Support electrical needs in controlled environments such as cleanrooms, laboratories, and temperature‑regulated areas. Respond promptly and professionally to facility alarms and service requests. Perform minor facility tasks (lighting replacement, low‑voltage troubleshooting, resets). Support shutdowns, outages, seasonal prep, and special projects as assigned. Provide excellent customer service with clear communication and follow-through.

Requirements

  • Licensed Journeyman Electrician or applicable industrial electrician experience.
  • Strong understanding of electrical distribution systems up to 480V.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, diagrams, and blueprints.
  • Experience using CMMS software for maintenance documentation.
  • Ability to work independently or in cross‑disciplinary teams.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working in GMP, manufacturing, or controlled environments.
  • Familiarity with validated or mission-critical equipment.
  • Experience with BAS/BMS electrical components and low‑voltage controls.
  • OSHA 10 or comparable electrical safety training.
  • Experience with generators, UPS systems, and emergency distribution.
