The Electrician is responsible for performing electrical work in control cabinets, panel boards, etc., wiring/rewiring of electrical cabinets and electrical components, running conduit, writing programs and install in PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers). This is a DAY SHIFT position, with occasional on-call duties for nights. The role involves the installation of electrical hardware or software, or the electrical wiring of selected devices in accordance with state and local codes. The Electrician will also be responsible for the electrical start-ups of new, used or modified equipment and generating new or modifying existing operating instructions as they pertain to electrical items. Additionally, the role includes aiding and assisting in the layout design of construction and troubleshooting of electrical components, performing calibrations on electrical components when needed, and programming and installation of PLCs along with drawing ladder logic diagrams to match. Maintaining a clean work area and responsible use of company-issued tools are also key aspects of this position.
