Under the Assistant Airport Director's supervision, performs skilled electrical work in constructing, installing, maintaining and repairing various electrical wiring, controls, machinery, electronics, software and equipment. This role involves maintaining and repairing all airport electrical equipment, working with contractors on new and upgraded systems, establishing safety procedures, managing projects related to system updates and security, and developing preventative maintenance programs. The position also includes installing and maintaining HVAC systems, operating electrical and data systems test equipment, coordinating utility locations, researching energy-efficient solutions, interacting with airport tenants, diagnosing electrical and software failures, inspecting electrical systems, and performing business management duties such as record-keeping and reporting. Additionally, the role involves installing and maintaining airport surveillance and access control systems, testing building generators, developing and monitoring the annual budget, and purchasing/maintaining equipment inventory.
