About The Position

This role is responsible for troubleshooting and maintaining electrical and controls systems for production and high-speed packaging equipment in a food manufacturing environment. The Electrician will support various systems including extruders, dryers, conveying systems, cartoners, baggers, palletizers, utilities, HVAC, chillers, and compressed air systems. The position involves partnering with Operations and Maintenance to resolve issues and perform preventative maintenance, maintaining PLC backups, schematics, and electrical documentation, and modifying/improving electrical and control systems in compliance with NEC standards. Assistance with capital projects and equipment installations is also part of the role.

Requirements

Ability to work weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed
Ability to read, write, and speak English at a level necessary to perform the essential functions of the job
Strong electrical troubleshooting skills; ability to read wiring diagrams
2‑year Electrical Technician degree or equivalent experience (apprenticeship, military training, or 3+ years hands‑on electrical/controls experience)
Willingness to obtain CPR certification

Nice To Haves

Food manufacturing electrical and controls experience
Allen‑Bradley PLCs, HMIs, VFDs
OSHA 10
Experience operating forklifts or lifts

Responsibilities
