About The Position

Works with the Building Services Supervisor to coordinate schedules, and perform activities involved in preparing for the installation, repair and replacement of electrical fixtures and equipment.

Requirements

• Successful completion of grade twelve or equivalent (i.e. General Education Development (GED) or Academic and Career Entrance (ACE)).
• Must have a valid Ontario Journeyman Electrician Ticket
• Ministry of Labour “Worker Health and Safety Awareness in 4 Steps” training certificate is required
• Must have a minimum of 5 years experience in electrical work
• 2 years experience working in a healthcare facility
• Demonstrated knowledge of blueprints, specifications and standards established by the electrical trade and Health and Safety regulations
• Demonstrated familiarity with building electrical codes
• Proven ability to stand for extended periods of time
• Criminal record check satisfactory to the Hospital is required
• Demonstrated positive work record and good attendance record
