About The Position

Primoris Services Corporation is seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Electrician to perform electrical installations, maintenance, and repairs across various projects. This role requires an individual who is eligible to drive, as travel to different job sites will be a regular occurrence.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Valid Journeyman Electrician license or equivalent certification, as required by state and local regulations.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a qualified Electrician in a commercial or industrial setting.
  • Must possess a valid driver's license and a clean driving record, eligible to drive company vehicles.
  • Thorough knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC) and local electrical codes.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills with electrical systems.
  • Ability to work at heights, in confined spaces, and in various weather conditions.
  • Physical ability to lift heavy objects, bend, stoop, climb, and stand for extended periods.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to safety and adherence to all safety protocols.

Nice To Haves

  • Completion of an accredited apprenticeship program or vocational training in electrical technology is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems, wiring, controls, and lighting fixtures according to blueprints, schematics, and local electrical codes.
  • Troubleshoot electrical malfunctions, diagnose problems, and implement effective solutions.
  • Perform preventative maintenance on electrical equipment and systems to ensure optimal performance and longevity.
  • Connect wires to circuit breakers, transformers, or other components.
  • Inspect electrical systems, equipment, and components to identify hazards, defects, and the need for adjustment or repair, and to ensure compliance with codes.
  • Work independently or as part of a team to complete electrical projects efficiently and safely.
  • Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, as well as industry safety standards.
  • Maintain accurate records of work performed, materials used, and time spent on projects.
  • Operate company vehicles safely to transport tools, equipment, and materials to and from job sites.
  • Communicate effectively with supervisors, colleagues, and clients regarding project progress and any issues encountered.
