About The Position

BEMAC is seeking qualified Electricians to join their on-site Construction team for a 2 to 3 month project near Fort MacKay, Alberta. This role involves working on the Imperial Oil (IOL) Kearl Lake Sodium Citrate Injection Process System. The position operates on a 21 days on, 7 days off rotation with 10-hour workdays. While local candidates are preferred, fly-in, fly-out options from Edmonton or Calgary, Alberta are available for eligible candidates.

Requirements

Apprentice up to and including Journeyperson Red Seal level
Strong technical knowledge and proven experience in electrical and/or instrumentation equipment and systems
Knowledge and experience with Heat Trace systems
Experience in an industrial setting required
Aerial Work Platform (AWP), and Fall Arrest Certification
Successful clearance of applicable pre-employment checks (Criminal Background/Police Information check, Drug & Alcohol test, Reference checks, Provincial Driver’s Abstract)
Standard HSE certifications may be required including WHMIS, First Aid etc.

Nice To Haves

Knowledge and experience with industrial construction an asset

Responsibilities

Perform all duties in a safe and efficient manner according to all relevant legislation, policies and procedures.
Review electrical and instrumentation engineering, and construction work packages.
Review and execute scope based on Field Instruction Work Packages.
Understand and execute work under LOTO requirements.
Install industrial cable tray and power cables.
Install process pipe heat tracing, SR or MI.
Support the install of instrumentation.
Install MCC Wrappers.
Management of material for required scope.
Communicate and work in a team environment.
Ability to work with Field Engineering and Quality Control to efficiently resolve hurdles.
Provide knowledge and advice on electrical and/or instrument equipment and systems.
Provide direction in establishing the electrical and instrumentation requirements and specifications for existing and new facilities.
Provide support in commissioning and start-up activities, as required, for the electrical and/or instrumentation equipment and systems in the field.
Provide ongoing support to operations.
Other duties as required.
