Job Posting Title: Electrician Location: Dallas - Hospital Additional Posting Details: Monday - Friday 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM. Some overtime and weekends as needed. Job Description: Duties/Responsibilities Experienced industrial electrician Able to accomplish assigned tasks with minimal supervision, and able to make appropriate decisions in the absence of direct leadership Able to work effectively in a team as well as individually as dictated by the situation and management Responsible for completion to standard of assigned tasks Responsible for request of supplies, parts, and equipment required to accomplish assigned tasks Maintains accountability and fiscal responsibility for assigned parts, equipment and supplies Competent to perform normal and emergency operation of all engineering & life safety systems of the hospital Resourceful technician who troubleshoots, repairs, and maintains electrical, mechanical, control, life safety, and HVAC equipment as part of a team Expected to be a subject matter expert, and provide leadership in the area of electrical systems and equipment Ensures that work sites are left clean, supplies and equipment are maintained, and all assigned assets are accounted for per Engineering Department policy directives Makes periodic inspections, noting general condition and keeping Engineering Management informed Documents repair and maintenance records as per Engineering Department policy and directives Incumbent is prepared to assume responsibilities for the Working Lead should the need arise Appropriately interprets and follows the hospital’s policies and procedures Suggests changes in working conditions and use of equipment to increase efficiency of work Analyzes and resolves work problems As assigned, develops Preventative Maintenance and Operational Procedures commensurate with the Hospital’s Policies and Procedure, manufacturer’s recommendations, safety considerations, and good engineering practices

Requirements

  • High school degree or equivalent required
  • Journeyman or higher electrician license required
  • Minimum of five years’ experience in the electrical trade required
  • Minimum of three years’ experience in industrial/hospital electrical work preferred
  • Competent in the use of Microsoft Office suite
  • Able to learn and utilize the hospital’s Computerized Maintenance Management System

Nice To Haves

  • Master Electrician License preferred
  • Associates or higher degree in an engineering or project management discipline preferred
  • Emergency Generator operation experience preferred
  • Boiler plant operation experience preferred
  • Formal leadership training preferred
  • Direct leadership experience preferred
