We are looking for an in-house Electrician to design and perform electrical work for our BoxPop custom shipping containers and facility electrical infrastructure maintenance/upgrade. Customized projects range from restaurants, to restrooms, to mobile bars to experiential event venues. Facility upgrades include relocation of power for equipment and installing new infrastructure for facility expansion. Requirements

• Knowledge and ability to understanding building codes and pull permits
• Ability to perform electrical installations
• Current electrician license
• Ability to work on a team and communicate well with others
• Must have an eye for detail and be reliable with a “we say yes” attitude
• Knowledge of electrical codes and best practices
• Ability to read blueprints, schematics and other diagrams
• Knowledge of how to use electrical diagnostic tools
• Ability to operate machinery, such as forklifts
• Knowledge of MIOSHA safety guidelines and practices as well as local, state and national regulations for electrical safety
• Cooperative teamwork approach and willingness to help and build others up around you

Responsibilities

• Design the electrical system or assist in the design process for each project, reading and interpreting technical drawings and blueprints
• Obtain any necessary permits
• Order parts and equipment for the project
• Inspect electrical components to ensure they work correctly and safely
• Install new wiring, lighting and other electrical components
• Maintain electrical systems
• Diagnose problems in wiring and electrical systems and then make any necessary changes or repairs
• Replace old or broken components
• Awareness of and following local and national regulations for electrical systems and electrical safety
• Operate forklifts and other machinery, as needed
• Willingness and ability to follow MIOSHA and company safety guidelines and protocols
