About The Position

This position is responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical systems in new residential homes while ensuring compliance with applicable electrical codes and safety standards. Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years of residential electrical experience (or equivalent combination of education and experience).
  • Journeyman or Master Electrician licensure.
  • Completion of a registered electrical apprenticeship program.
  • OSHA 10-Hour Construction certification (OSHA 30 preferred).
  • Thorough knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC) and residential electrical systems.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and electrical plans.
  • Proficient with electrical testing equipment and hand and power tools.
  • Valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record.
  • Experience in new residential construction.
  • Experience installing service panels, branch circuits, generators, and low-voltage systems.

Responsibilities

  • Install electrical wiring, outlets, switches, lighting fixtures, service panels, and related electrical components in new residential construction.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, electrical plans, and technical drawings.
  • Install branch circuits, breakers, conduit, and service equipment according to project specifications.
  • Troubleshoot electrical issues and perform necessary repairs.
  • Ensure all work complies with the National Electrical Code (NEC) and applicable state and local regulations.
  • Coordinate with project managers, superintendents, and other trades to ensure projects remain on schedule.
  • Safely operate electrical testing equipment, hand tools, and power tools.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
  • Follow all company safety policies and OSHA regulations.
  • Assist with additional construction tasks as needed.
