About The Position

Magris Talc is one of the world’s leading talc producers, and our Penhorwood site is located in Northern Ontario, between Foleyet and Timmins, as part of our Canadian operations; we are looking for a skilled Electrician to join our team at the Penhorwood operation. This role is key to maintaining and troubleshooting plant equipment to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient operations.

Requirements

• Ontario Electrical License (or equivalent certification/training)
• High school diploma (or GED)
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Ability to read technical drawings and work independently
• Comfortable using basic computer applications (MS Office, etc.)

Nice To Haves

• 1-3 years of experience in a manufacturing, mining, or milling environment

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain electrical systems and plant equipment
• Install, program, and maintain PLCs, VFDs, and other control systems
• Interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation
• Perform preventative maintenance and respond to breakdowns/call-outs
• Install and maintain wiring, conduit, panels, and electrical components
• Diagnose equipment issues and implement or recommend solutions
• Support plant safety, environmental, and quality programs (HSEQ)
• Assist with maintenance planning, shutdowns, and special projects
• Provide technical support for production, quality, and maintenance issues
• Work collaboratively with contractors and other departments as needed
