About The Position

This role involves performing and directing all maintenance, wiring, and installation of electrical systems including motors, switches, switch panels, fuse boxes, lighting, testing, and power circuits. The position requires maintaining and updating electrical prints, programs, and files, as well as programming TI and Allen Bradley controllers. The Electrician will also make and maintain up-to-date layouts of electrical circuits, fabricate and install mounting fixtures, and troubleshoot electrical problems on all equipment, including PLC's, DEC drives, and AC drives using laptop computers. Responsibilities also include maintaining plant-wide electrical systems, compressors, vacuums, chillers, and air dryers.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of state and local electrical codes
  • A strong focus on maintaining high safety standards
  • Ability to read and comprehend blueprints and schematic drawings
  • Thorough knowledge of industrial wiring, motors, switches, switch panels, fuse boxes, lighting, testing and power circuits
  • Basic computer skills
  • Familiarity with Allen Bradley systems, VFS’s, PLC’s hardware & software, AC/DC circuits, 4-20mA circuits & 440 MCC’s
  • Understanding of Electrical Theory and Principles, wiring specifications, codes, and principles of operation and application of electronic equipment
  • 18 years of age
  • High school diploma or equivalent with a trade school certification
  • 3 plus years experience as an electrician in a manufacturing environment
  • Confined space trained and qualified
  • Must be able to frequently lift up to 50 lbs. and occasionally 75 lbs
  • Must be able to push and pull up to 50 lbs
  • Must be able to stand, reach, stoop, bend, kneel, climb, and a variety of other physical functions on a frequent basis
  • Pass background check, physical exam, and drug screening.

Responsibilities

  • Do or direct all maintenance, wiring and installation of motors, switches, switch panels, fuse boxes, lighting testing and power circuits.
  • Maintain and update electrical prints, programs, and files.
  • Program TI and Allen Bradley controllers.
  • Makes and maintains up-to-date layouts of electrical circuits.
  • Fabricate and install mounting fixtures and brackets on electrical and plumbing work as assigned.
  • Troubleshoot electrical problems on all the equipment.
  • Troubleshoot PLC’s equipment, DEC drives and AC drives using laptop computers.
  • Maintain plant wide electrical, compressors, vacuums, chiller, and air dryers.
