Electrician
About The Position
The Electrician position is part of the Engineering Department. This role requires a Journeyman skill level, which can be achieved through an accepted 4-year apprentice program with classroom time and 8000 worked hours, or equivalent experience and technical skills gained from working in the trade for a number of years. Experience in industrial and commercial settings, as well as conduit work, is necessary. The role involves varied working hours, including overtime, and requires the ability to follow instructions, make independent decisions, and work independently. Other requirements include scaffolding erection.
Requirements
- Journeyman skill level (accepted 4 year apprentice program with classroom time and 8000 worked hours or experience and technical skills equal to the apprenticeship)
- Industrial and commercial experience
- Conduit experience
- High School Diploma or G.E.D.
- Ability to communicate effectively with internal and external customers
- Valid West Virginia Driver’s License
- Electrician’s License
- Ability to read schematics and blueprints
- Lifting up to 70 pounds regularly
- Walking
- Standing
- Climbing ladders, scaffolding, stairs continuously
- Ability to work in confined spaces
