About The Position

The Electrician is responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical systems and components in accordance with applicable codes, standards, and safety regulations. This role requires strong technical knowledge, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team to complete electrical installations and service work. Seeking: Electrician Class A licensed MN journeyman.

Requirements

  • Current MN license.
  • Good driving record.
  • Experience in multi-family housing.
  • Able to troubleshoot and repair.
  • Commercial and residential (apartments) experience.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent, required.
  • Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record required.
  • Must be able to comply with SFP’s Drug and Alcohol policy and Background screening requirements, which may also include customer specific requirements based on contractual agreement.
  • Ability to safely use common power and hand tools.

Nice To Haves

  • Electrician Class A licensed MN journeyman.
  • Valid Electrician License (Journeyman or Master depending on state requirements) preferred or required.
  • 3+ years of electrical installation and service experience preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical systems, wiring, and troubleshooting methods.
  • Ability to read electrical schematics and blueprints
  • Time management and organization
  • Ability to work independently and on a team
  • Communication Skills: Must have the ability to effectively read, write and communicate in English with employees and customers.

Responsibilities

  • Install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures.
  • Ensure work is completed in accordance with local, state, and national electrical codes.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
  • Troubleshoot electrical systems and diagnose issues using testing devices.
  • Install electrical components such as panels, circuit breakers, switches, and lighting systems.
  • Perform preventative maintenance on electrical systems and equipment.
  • Maintain tools, equipment, and a safe work environment.
  • Collaborate with project managers, supervisors, and other trades to ensure project completion.
  • Document work completed and report any issues or safety concerns.
  • Follow all company safety policies and OSHA regulations.
  • Understand and follow SFP’s Safety program, SDS book, Hazardous communication program, policies and procedures.
  • Participate in weekly Toolbox talks.
  • Employee must know where all related safety documentation is at all times on each project.
  • Other duties may be assigned.
