About The Position

This customer service oriented individual will perform skilled work at the level of a journeyman to inspect, repair, maintain, and install various types of electrical components and systems, including electrical panels, outlets, and lighting. Work will be performed almost exclusively in healthcare-related buildings. Electricians work in cooperation with other trades to ensure that all codes, protocols, and policies are met. Digital documentation must be completed on a daily basis. Perform code compliant work on small to medium scale in-house projects. Perform daily tasks around maintenance, inspections, and corrective actions on essential electrical systems (EES) under the supervision of Lead or Senior Electricians. Maintain the campus electrical directory system under the supervision of Lead or Senior Electricians. Must be knowledgeable with appropriate state and local codes. Must maintain a current journey workers license.

Requirements

  • A minimum 3 years of Electrical experience is required.
  • Knowledge of state and local electrical codes is required.
  • High school diploma or accredited GED is required.
  • Electrical trade school apprenticeship completion or Journeyworker technical studies degree required.
  • Must have attention to detail, and ability to type.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, Bluebeam Revu, and CAD required.
  • Journeymans License is required.

Nice To Haves

  • Completed 5-year apprenticeship is preferred.
  • Master Electrician License is preferred.
