About The Position

The Electrician is responsible for the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, and inspection of electrical systems and equipment. This position supports the safe and reliable operation of facility infrastructure by performing electrical work in accordance with applicable codes, safety regulations, and company standards.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of electrical maintenance, construction, commercial, or industrial electrical experience.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical systems, controls, motors, lighting systems, and power distribution equipment.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, electrical drawings, and technical manuals.
  • Valid driver's license.

Nice To Haves

  • Completion of an electrical apprenticeship program or equivalent experience preferred.
  • Journeyman Electrician License.
  • OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 Certification.
  • NFPA 70E training or certification.
  • Experience with BAS, PLCs, and VFDs.
  • Experience using CMMS.

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems, equipment, and controls.
  • Perform preventive and predictive maintenance on electrical distribution systems and equipment.
  • Inspect, test, and maintain electrical wiring, circuits, switches, breakers, and related components.
  • Respond to electrical service requests and equipment failures in a timely manner.
  • Maintain motors, motor controls, transformers, generators, and lighting systems.
  • Install, modify, and upgrade electrical systems and equipment.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals.
  • Run conduit, pull wire, terminate electrical connections, and install electrical devices.
  • Assist with facility renovations, equipment installations, and capital improvement projects.
  • Coordinate work with contractors, vendors, and other maintenance personnel as required.
  • Follow OSHA regulations, NEC requirements, NFPA 70E standards, and company safety policies.
  • Adhere to lockout/tagout procedures and established safe work practices.
  • Utilize appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Maintain accurate records of inspections, repairs, and maintenance activities.
  • Identify and report safety hazards and corrective actions.
  • Support facility operations by maintaining reliable electrical systems.
  • Assist in identifying opportunities for energy savings and system improvements.
  • Communicate effectively with supervisors, coworkers, and facility occupants regarding electrical issues and project status.
  • Participate in emergency response activities as required.
