About The Position

M9 Solutions is seeking an Electrician to work onsite in support of a government contract for a client located in Tysons, VA. An active Secret clearance is required. Requirements

  • Active Secret security clearance.
  • Four (4) years of experience working in the electrical industry.
  • High School diploma or GED required.
  • Must successfully pass a background check and drug test.
  • Reliable transportation.
  • Journeyman's license is required.

  • Leading teams on large complex installation projects with limited supervision.
  • Leading and documenting daily toolbox talks, ORMs, and Safety Audits.
  • Installation of head end equipment for access control, intrusion detection, and CCTV systems.
  • Performing take-off of project drawings.
  • Documenting daily reports and project progress.
  • Forecasting and managing project labor hours.

Responsibilities

  • Assembling, installing, testing, and maintaining electrical or electronic wiring, conduit, cable, equipment, components, and devices associated with electrical equipment, following blueprints of electrical layouts and building plans.
  • Installing and mounting electronic controls, devices, panels, sensors, and components.
  • Performing interlock wiring as required.
  • Testing electrical systems and continuity of circuits in electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures, using testing devices.
  • Inspecting installation sites and studying work orders, building plans, and installation manuals in order to determine materials requirements and installation procedures.
  • Diagnosing malfunctioning systems, apparatus, and components, using test equipment and hand tools, to locate the cause of a breakdown and correct the problems.
  • Reading contract drawings.
  • Troubleshooting EMS systems, smart breakers, and relays.
