About The Position

Join Aztalan Bio as a Electrician and help support a growing, innovative biorefinery in Jefferson, WI. This full-time role offers a Mon–Fri schedule (7:00am–3:30pm), competitive pay and a strong benefits package including medical, dental, vision, PTO, sick time, and more. In this role, you will perform preventative and corrective electrical maintenance on production equipment and facility systems, troubleshoot electrical, instrumentation, and control issues, install and repair electrical components, and help ensure the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of the facility. You will also participate in the facility’s on-call rotation, serving as a Electrician contact for approximately one week every four weeks to support operational needs outside of normal working hours. The Electrician is responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of electrical systems and equipment in our facility. This role involves diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining electrical machinery and systems to minimize downtime and maximize productivity. The Maintenance Technician - Electrician will collaborate with other maintenance personnel and production teams to support manufacturing operations and ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years of related electrical maintenance experience in an Industrial Manufacturing facility.
  • Registered Electrician within the state of Wisconsin or Journeyman Electrician, Industrial license preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to work effectively as a team member

Responsibilities

  • Perform preventive and planned maintenance and ad-hoc (mainly electrical) jobs as requested by Shift Production Supervisor, Maintenance Manager and Maintenance Planner.
  • Maintaining and repairing the electrical network and devices of the facility.
  • Maintaining and repairing of lighting systems of the facility.
  • Installs power supply wiring, conduit, and electrical engines for newly installed machines and equipment such as conveyors and programmable controllers.
  • Electrical sectioning as needed, checking and maintaining if needed.
  • Diagnoses malfunctioning apparatus such as transformers, motors, and lighting fixtures and replaces damaged or broken wires and cables.
  • Tests malfunctioning machinery and discusses with other maintenance team members to repair said malfunction.
  • Replaces faulty electrical components of machines such as relays, switches, motors, and positions sensing devices.
  • Diagnoses and repairs or replaces faulty electronic components, such as printed circuit boards.
  • Active participation in planned plant shutdowns to determine the electrical maintenance requirements of systems and devices within the facility.
