About The Position

This role is for an Electrician responsible for all power distribution, fusing, lighting, equipment, and motor overloads. The position focuses on optimizing equipment safety, efficiency, and reliability, participating in continuous improvement projects, and completing work orders according to PM schedules. The Electrician must comply with all applicable legislative policies and procedures, including Food Safety, Health & Safety, and Environmental regulations. Responsibilities include servicing, cleaning, and performing preventative maintenance and overhauls on all production equipment, ensuring work areas are clear of debris and hazards, and working safely in accordance with legislation and company standards. The role also involves reporting food safety issues, following prescribed SOPs, rotation schedules, HACCP, and GMP procedures, and performing other related duties as required.

Requirements

  • Electrician Certificate of Qualification 309A; and proof of apprenticeship
  • 2-5 years' industrial electrical experience
  • Knowledge of PLC (Programmable Logic Controllers) and ability to assist trades team as required
  • Problem solving skills and good communication are required
  • Possess excellent attention to detail and organization skills

Responsibilities

  • Service, clean and perform preventative maintenance and overhaul on all production equipment
  • Ensure all work areas are clear of debris and check for hazards at all times
  • Work in a safe manner in accordance with legislation and company health and safety & safety standards
  • Report food safety issues to Quality Assurance or Shift Supervisor
  • Follow all prescribed SOPs, rotation schedules, HACCP, and GMP procedures
  • Perform other related duties as required
