About The Position

We are currently seeking motivated and experienced Certified Electricians for the safe maintenance, repair, installation and modification of all sawmill-related equipment. You will apply your skills to maximize uptime, quality and production. This role is a full-time rotating, weekday schedule (1 week of days, 1 week of nights) with a minimum of 40 hours per week.

Requirements

Certified Electrician
Strong background in PLCs setup and troubleshooting
Solid background in heavy industry and construction

Nice To Haves

Red seal or Interprovincial TQ is an asset

Responsibilities

Conduct regular inspections and maintenance on electrical systems, including wiring, circuits, and control panels within the mill.
Diagnose and repair electrical issues in machinery, sensors, transmitters, and other equipment to ensure uninterrupted operations.
Program, troubleshoot, and optimize programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and other control systems to enhance efficiency and precision in the mill processes.
Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines when working with electrical systems.
Identify and address electrical safety hazards within the mill environment to maintain a safe working atmosphere.
Respond promptly to electrical emergencies and breakdowns to minimize downtime.
Prioritize and address critical electrical issues to ensure the continuous operation of sawmill equipment.
Collaborate with other maintenance and operations personnel to coordinate electrical repairs and maintenance activities.
Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members to convey information about electrical systems and potential improvements.
